Chief Executive Officer
Stephen Yamoah Nteful has been the Chief Executive Officer of South Akim Rural Bank PLC since 2022, providing strategic leadership, operational oversight and driving sustainable growth. He brings over 14 years of managerial experience in Operations, Credit, and Audit, complemented by a strong background in Accounting, Finance and Fraud Prevention.
Alongside banking leadership, Stephen has more than 25 years in academia. He has lectured at Sunyani Technical University and currently serves as an adjunct lecturer at All Nations University, Koforidua, where he integrates industry expertise with academic knowledge.
A visionary and results-driven leader, Stephen emphasises transparency, collaboration and accountability. His leadership philosophy centers on empowering employees, nurturing innovation and delivering customer-centric strategies.
He holds a Master’s in Accounting & Finance (University of Vaasa, Finland), a Master’s in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor of Commerce (University of Cape Coast). He is also a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner.
Beyond banking, Stephen is actively engaged in philanthropy and community service. He serves as a Circuit Auditor for the Methodist Church Ghana and as an executive member of the Sekyere Krobo Development Agenda, focusing on education, health and environmental sustainability.
Looking ahead, his vision is to strengthen financial inclusion by expanding the Bank’s reach to SMEs, agri-businesses and underserved communities.

Mr. Llewellyn Theophilus Okunka Bruce is a human resource personnel and had been a practitioner within the rural and community bank, specifically South Akim Rural Bank PLC.
He started his working life from a humble beginning as a Media Monitoring Supervisor with Research International, Accra right after his National Service in September 1996.
He joined Ghana Post Company Ltd. in October 1998, as an Assistant Postal Officer, rising through the ranks by dint of hard work to the role of a Regional Director for the Central Region by the year 2011.
Determined to explore other work environments, he joined South Akim Rural Bank PLC, where he served as the Head of the Human Resource Department in 2011, a role he has passionately performed till date.
Mr. L.T. Okunka Bruce holds a B.A. in Political Science & Philosophy, from the University of Ghana, a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and Master of Arts in HRM from Kings University/UCC and the University of Cape Coast respectively.
He is practically assertive and openly accommodative with all manner of characters at the work environment.

Ms. Esther Serwah Ama Mensah is an organized, diligent, principled, and sociable professional, committed to delivering impactful results. She is both a dynamic team leader and an effective team player, capable of working independently while meeting deadlines even under pressure. With a strong sense of innovation, she consistently develops and implements initiatives that drive efficiency and quality improvements across organizational functions.
Highly self-motivated and an inspiration to others, Ms. Mensah serves as a role model with excellent communication skills and a distinctive professional approach to problem-solving. She thrives on challenges and pursues practical, tactical solutions to complex issues.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from KNUST (All Nations University) and a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Ghana Business School. Her international professional development includes training in Financial Inclusion through Microfinance at the Boulder Institute of Microfinance, International Training Centre in Turin, Italy, and Community-Based Microfinance for Financial Inclusion at the Coady International Institute, St. Francis Xavier University, Antigonish, Canada.
With over 25 years of service at South Akim Rural Bank PLC, Ms. Mensah currently serves as the Head of Risk and Compliance and also doubles as the Anti-Money Laundering Reporting Officer (AMLRO) of the Bank

Mr. Mark Anim Ayeh is a seasoned internal auditor with over 21 years of dedicated service to the Bank. He holds an HND in Accounting, a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, and a Master of Science in Industrial Finance and Investment. He is also a Part II member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA).
In his current role, Mark is responsible for reviewing the Bank’s internal control systems and recommending improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and risk mitigation. He plays a key role in the identification, assessment, and reporting of operational risk exposures, ensuring timely mitigation and escalation where necessary.
With strong expertise in credit and funds management systems, he has successfully implemented monitoring systems to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and ensure accountability across the Bank’s Branches and Departments.
Mark is recognized for his dynamic and results-driven leadership, underpinned by a deep knowledge of Accounting, Finance, and Auditing. His strategic insights and unwavering commitment have contributed significantly to strengthening the Bank’s internal processes and fostering a culture of compliance and transparency.
