39th Annual General Meeting of the Bank

The 39th Annual General Meeting was a celebration of growth, accountability, and partnership. With strong financial performance, dividend payouts, and a commitment to community empowerment, South Akim Rural Bank PLC continues to prove why it is one of Ghana’s most reliable rural banks.

The South Akim Rural Bank PLC, one of Ghana’s most vibrant rural banks, successfully held its 39th Annual General Meeting (AGM) to present its performance, share progress with shareholders, and reaffirm its commitment to community-focused banking.

The event brought together shareholders, management, staff, and stakeholders at Presbyterian of Ghana, Nankese  on 31st August, 2024. It was not only a platform to review the Bank’s financial performance for the year ended 31st December 2023 but also an occasion to celebrate growth, achievements, and the collective effort of the entire South Akim family.

Reviewing Performance

At the AGM, the Board of Directors presented an overview of the Bank’s operations, highlighting significant improvements in key financial indicators such as:

  • Growth in deposits, loans, and investments.

  • Steady increase in shareholders’ funds and total assets.

  • Enhanced profitability, which has positioned the Bank as one of the leading rural banks in Ghana.

The Auditors’ Report was also presented, confirming the Bank’s strong financial position and adherence to regulatory standards.

Dividend Declaration

One of the key highlights of the meeting was the approval of dividends for shareholders. In line with its dividend policy of paying at least 25% of net profit, the Board declared a [insert figure, e.g., 10% per share dividend] as a reward for shareholders’ trust and continued support.

This reflects the Bank’s commitment not only to financial growth but also to creating real value for its investors.

Strengthening Governance

The meeting also saw the re-election and election of Directors to strengthen the governance structure of the Bank. Shareholders were assured of the Board’s commitment to prudent management, transparency, and innovative strategies to keep the Bank growing in a competitive financial sector.

Commitment to Community Development

True to its mission as a community-focused bank, the AGM emphasized the Bank’s continuous support for social interventions such as:

  • Scholarship schemes for brilliant but needy students.

  • Support for schools, health facilities, and community projects.

  • Tailored financial products such as the Adwumapa Dwetiri Loan and Agric Loans to empower farmers, traders, and small businesses.

To achieve this, it would be necessary to have uniform grammar, pronunciation and more common words. If several languages coalesce, the grammar of the resulting language is more simple and regular than that of the individual languages. The new common language will be more simple and regular than the existing European languages. It will be as simple as Occidental; in fact, it will be Occidental.

As the Bank moves into another year of operations, the Board and Management assured shareholders of their dedication to innovation, digital banking solutions, and products that will enhance financial inclusion while sustaining profitability.

The 39th AGM once again reaffirmed South Akim Rural Bank PLC’s vision of being not just a financial institution, but a partner in growth for individuals, businesses, and communities.
